Police in an anti-narcotics drive detained a total of 100 people from Ganaktuli in city's Hazaribagh area on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Ramna Division said Maruf Hossain Sarder said the drive started at Sweeper colony around 10:30am and continued till 2:00pm.

Police also recovered huge quantities of narcotic items including Yaba and Phensidyl from the spot.Earlier on Saturday, law enforcers conducted similar drive at Geneva camp in Mohammadpur area and arrested 153 people.

The nationwide anti-drug drive was launched by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on May 4 upon receiving directives from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
