@ masud rana : Fx series আসলেই গেম খেলার প্রসেসর না (দামের দিক থেকে ) ।এর চেয়ে Phenom ii X4 ভাল ফলাফল দেয়।
আর ৬ core এখন পর্যন্ত কোনও গেম ব্যবহার করে না । আমার জানা মতে খুব কম গেম 4 core ব্যবহার করে। বেশি Core মানেই যে গেম ভাল চলবে তা ঠিক না।

In cities and raids, the i3-2120 should perform about 10 FPS better than the FX-4170

@Dj Adil: Core numbers don’t matter when most games barely take advantage of quad-core, let alone 6 or 8 core CPUs.
By the way, AMD FX’s “8 core CPU” is not really a true 8 core as their design is radically different from what constitutes a “core”. Namely, the “core” AMD refers to is just the integer unit in the CPU. Each modules have two cores, but one FPU, and shared cache.
So in effect, while it can be seen as a 8 core if a program only uses integer unit, if you use FPU-based programs, the AMD FX 8000 series will perform like a quad core as there are only 4 FPU in the CPU.

AMD Phenom II series is way better than FX and they can be called Gaming Processor.
The FX 4100 is a module cpu. A module does 80% of the work of a dual core cpu. The FX 4100 is a dual module cpu, meaning its 80% of a quad core cpu when under full load.
The Phenom is a quad core cpu that does 100% of the load of a quad core cpu.
That should answer your question, FX 4xxx chips need 20% more clocks to do the same amount of work.

AMD and Intel cores are not the same. In terms of Integer throughput, an Intel Sandybridge core will execute and retire 2.5 times as many instructions per clock cycle per core as an equivalently clocked AMD Bulldozer core. This means that even in the best case scenario, an 8 core Bulldozer CPU still falls behind a 4 core Intel CPU when clocked identically. Approximately 10 bulldozer cores (5 modules) are necessary to match clock-for-clock performance, or the clock speeds must be increased.

You should pick up a 960T if you’re gonna go AMD… it is much better than an fx 6100.
And it’s not hard to find… Newegg has them in stock for $125.
However, the i3-2120 is a better buy for gaming than either of them if you’re building a new system. It will do better then the 6100 under all circumstances and will either be on par with or slightly beat an OC’d 960T. However, the big advantage is the you’d be free to drop in something like a 2500k later on if you needed to upgrade – you really have no upgrade path on a socket AM3 board right now (edit – unless piledriver manages to surprise considerably with its performance).
If you’re really partial to AMD, pick up the 960t from newegg; it’s currently by far the best AMD option at any price point. If you don’t care about brand one way or another, pick up the core i3.
Bulldozer chips are in almost every way a waste of your money.

They don’t go head-to-head really, depending on the application being ran. The 2500K is far superior in regular execution tasks, like playing games or internet browsing, but the 8150 is better for floating point tasks, or heavier workloads.

Quad (4) Unlocked core. MicroSoft DirectX11 support. এই টারে বলে গেমিং প্রসেসর ।এটা দেশে আসার অপেক্ষায় আছি । এটার গ্রাফিক্স বেঞ্চমার্ক A8-3870K এর চাইতে 853 বেশি । আরো জানতে দেখুন ।
